Inclusion of a State
in name of Non-government Company
If the proposed name includes the word ‘State’ along with the name of the State such as Kerala State Company Limited, the same will not be allowed as it would give an impression of the State Government participating in the share capital of the proposed company. However, if only the name of a State is included without the addition of the word ‘State’ in the proposed name, it may be allowed as it is not likely to give the impression that the company has the State Government’s interest in it company Registration Kerala.
Words like ‘corporation’ and ‘company’
The proposed name of Rajasthan Finance Company Limited will be
regarded as undesirable as there is an existing company by the name of
Rajasthan Finance Corporation.
Inclusion of
names of foreign countries
If the proposed name includes words like French, British,
German, etc. the same will be allowed only when the promoters satisfy that
there is some form of collaboration and connection with the foreigners of that
company in the foreign country. Thus the name German Tool Manufacturing Company
Ltd should not be allowed unless the company has some connection with Germany company Registration Kerala.
First word which
is different considered enough
By Circular No. 10(1)-RS/65, dt. 27-11-1965 it was stated that
even where except for the first word all other words of the proposed name are
similar to those of an existing company, the first word should be considered
sufficient to distinguish it from the name of an existing company company Registration Kerala.
